A Book That Might Make You Angry

Have you ever driven past a pretty bad car accident and told yourself not to look but you couldn’t help it? This book gave me a similar feeling. This is the first book I’ve read by this author who I’ve read GREAT reviews about. I will warn you however- if you have children this book will make you angry/upset/confused. Bear with me. This book is about a woman named Lowen who is a struggling author dealing with aftermath of her mother’s recent death. She is approached by a man presenting her with an opportunity of a lifetime- the man happens to be the husband of a very successful writer – Verity Crawford - who is unable to finish her extremely successful series due to a terrible car accident. Lowen was invited to their family home and began working in Verity’s office to complete the series. Lowen finds a bone chilling autobiography written by Verity and apparently never having been read by anyone else. Lowen becomes burdened with the contents of the autobiography and the feelings she is growing for Jeremy- Verity’s husband. You have to read to find out what becomes of Lowen and The Crawford family. This novel is incredibly infuriating, eye opening, and what I like to call “unputdownable”. I wish I could go into more detail about this one but it’s so good I don’t want to spoil it!
